Hello! I’m Dr. John Michaiel, and am originally from Calgary, Alberta. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta. After dental school, I pursued additional training through a General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where I gained advanced experience in a wide range of dental procedures and patient care.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and am passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care. My goal is to provide compassionate, personalized treatment while building long-term relationships with the patients and families I serve.
I am certified in IV sedation and have a strong interest in making dental treatment as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I’m committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry, so I can continue providing high-quality care tailored to all Sherwood Dental patients.

Although not much to cheer for lately, I’ll always be cheering on the Calgary Flames and the Baltimore Ravens.
- What are your hobbies or past times outside of work?
Outside of work I love to stay active. You can usually find me playing squash or out on the golf course.
