Hello! I’m Dr. Raghav Ahuja, and I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Alberta in 2024 through the Advanced Placement Program. I originally earned my Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India in 2014, before moving to Canada in 2015 to continue my dental journey.
I began my career in Canada as a Registered Dental Assistant in Thunder Bay, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta where I gained valuable hands-on experience and developed a strong foundation in patient care. After completing the National Dental Examining Board of Canada equivalency process, I was accepted into the University of Alberta, where I further refined my clinical skills and approach to patient-centered dentistry.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and am committed to continuing education to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies. I’ve completed additional training in implants, Invisalign®, sedation, and endodontics, allowing me to provide a wide range of treatment options tailored to each of Sherwood Dental’s patients’ needs.
My goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where I value building long-term relationships and helping patients achieve healthy, lasting smiles

- Where is your favourite place to vacation?
I did a motorcycle trip to Ladakh with my two best friends in 2014. We rode on some of the highest mountain passes in the world and some of the most beautiful terrain and landscapes.
- What is your favourite book?
I enjoy reading Dan Brown novels particularly the Robert Langdon series with Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci Code.
- What are your hobbies or past times outside of work?
I used to enjoy playing Call of Duty® and FIFA™ on my PlayStation®, however, since I got my puppy – Farley – I spend quite a lot of time in different dog parks around the city and enjoy watching him being goofy with other dogs. We have had him since he was 4 months old, and I don’t remember the last time I switched on my gaming console.
